I challenge you to write down five things you are grateful for and begin to think on them for only five minutes. A quick way to show the powerful creative ability of this emotion is to try and think of five more. Chances are they will come much more quickly and you will already begin to flood with great ideas that may not be connected in any way to this experiment. To think in terms of “not good enough” is to live in a world of limitation and can be downright draining. The moment you choose to accept where you are right now and find things to be thankful for, your entire outlook will begin to shift. Every area of your life is impacted by this one idea and thought pattern. The more we practice gratitude, the more natural it becomes. The more grateful you become, the more you will begin to notice small things that make you happy. This pattern has a snowball effect. Smaller experiences will naturally draw in bigger opportunity and experiences. Before you know it, your hearts desires will come to pass and you will experience joy. This is a sense thankfulness and energy that is not shaken by outside factors.
You are powerful and its time you realize it. We are not Gods and we cannot control every experience, but, we can always choose how we perceive the situation. Find the good in every experience. When you do this it will become evident quickly that while you may not be God, he granted you with a wonderful ability. You can touch the world around you and create ripples into your future more than you know. The Bible states countless times, let it be so unto you as you have believed. These statements were made of Israelites in the desert as well as by Mary being told she would deliver the son of God. The only difference between the two was their attitude towards the goodness of God. Both were kept safe and free of harm however one wandered in the desert for 40 years before entering the promised land and one gave birth to the savior of the world.
